My company changed address while my transfer H1b petition was pending. We moved just across the street from the original location and thus the company did not call USCIS to notify them of the address change because we still had access to our old mail box. Unfortuanately my approval notice was returned back as undeliverable and I received an email to that regard.
The secretary from office called USCIS and had the address changed immediately, its already been a month but we still haven't received the approval notice at the new address...has any one else here has similar experience...how long do you think we should wait before we call the USCIS again ?

Forgot to mention this is AOS case that was transferred. My AP renewal is still sitting in TSC.

Hi,
I am curently on h1b visa on 7th year.My i-140 got approved 3years back and filed i-485 in 2007 and waiting for gc.Now if i switch my job to different employer using my EAD,Can my previous employer revoke my i-140 affecting my gc processing.Does he still have control to withdraw.Can you please help on this.Thanks.
Employer can withdraw anytime. But you should be OK with AC21 provisions.

Consider a consultant-only company where all employee work on client projects and all got EAD and can change employer anytime they want. What happens if everyone leave the company after 180 days and you (and few other) still continue. As this will have great impact on company balance sheet how this may effect final GC approval of those still continue? Most of us will have to wait 3-4 years before we get GC approved. Can it cause any problem or RFE? Or I-140 approval must be enough to show that employer is able to support the employee after GC approval. Just a thought.

I had FP done way back in October 07..but there is no status change LUD on I-485..what to do??.:confused:..Do I take an appointment to talk to an officer or simply call USCIS ..

I have a peculiar situation where my wife wants to apply for H1 and work after being on H4 for the last 3 years . My son who is currently on H4 wants to convert to F1 to pursue his studies . My doubt is whether I can still include them in my GC application at 485 stage whenever it happens although they were in H4 when the GC Process started.
Any suggestion / advice is highly appreciated.

Can some one reply to my post please. My question is regarding EAD only. Once I apply for EAD and go to India what happens
1. If I am not there while it approved? Can my frnd send me the EAD to India?
2. if I get called for finger printing for EAD and if dont go for it? Will my AOS will be treated as abandoned?

With the current market crisis, you never know when you will be out of job.
Though I have my H1B valid till 2011( my I140 is approved and is already over more than six months, 485 is pending), Most of the people suggesting me to apply for EAD.
1) What are the procedures I have to maintain ( in connection to USCIS and my green card application pending) if I change employer?
2)Can I also work for multiple employers on EAD?
